I was able to watch the movie. It is not that bad in the terms of supporting LTTE. It is bias little at the the beginning when It showed you the reason why These two girls joined LTTE,. It showed pretty much because SL army is creating trouble and killing them. therefore, the film didn't tell you the truth of LTTE was using the Tamil civilian as the Human shield to get protected from the army attack. It didn't tell whether these kids were kidnapped or joined LTTE willingly. However, when we questioned from the Director she admitted that she didn't know how they joined the LTTE and cannot ask such questions from the Girls. at the same time The director told that Two girls and the mother cannot criticize LTTE since their life may be in danger.
Here are the good things
1. The film very clearly showed that LTTE is employing Child soldiers since both of these girls joined around age 11-12. Dharshika and her mother repeatedly telling that she joined when she was 11.
2. It is very clear from the film that these girls are brain washed. they are very happy about what are doing and it is very clear the they even don't know much apart from what they have been told by the Leader. The best Example for this is that Theses girls are telling that their leader will never ask them to kill civilians or destroy anything which is not their target. When she is telling it, The director changed the scene to the Central bank blast and showed how civilians were attacked and killed and the public properties were damaged.
So I guess it very clearly showed that theses girls are ready to execute anything what they have been asked to do believing that their leader will never ask them to kill innocent people and destroy public properties.
Somewhere in the beginning It showed the Katunayaka Airport attack and how the Properties are damaged and it also showed the bomb blast attempting to kill the Former President Mrs kumaranathunga
At the discussion section after the film, People started asking good questions showing that they are not ready to simply believe what they have been told by the film director.
What My feeling is that the Film is not directly or strongly supporting LTTE as well as the Government. Both parties get some Positive comments as well as negative comments for their side.
At the same time the Film is not analyzing Ethnic issue in sri lanka. so the film is not the complete stroy. The director didnt show anything about how the victims and their families of the black tiger attacks are suffered. when we questioned about it, she said that it was not the main target of her film. When she replied in that way, a gentleman got up and very clearly stated 'You cannot tell any thing about a war without telling about victims'.
So the bottom line is that the film show some positive and negative sides for the both parties.
